AURORA 2025- Batch Inauguration & Induction Programme

Kavumpadi : The Rajeev Memorial College of Teacher Education (RMCTE), Kavumpadi, hosted AURORA – 2025 Batch Inauguration and Induction Programme with grandeur and academic spirit on Monday, August 18, 2025.

The programme commenced at 11.00 a.m. with a prayer by Sreya Sereekumar M, invoking blessings for the new academic journey. Ambili O.S., IQAC Coordinator, welcomed the gathering with warmth and optimism.

In her presidential address, Dr. Beena K, Principal, RMCTE, highlighted the college’s commitment to excellence in teacher education and the role of educators in shaping future generations. The formal inauguration was conducted by lighting the lamp by K.K. Surendran, General Manager, RMCTE, who emphasized the significance of dedication and discipline in professional life.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Vimal Ramachandran, Secretary, RMCTE, who stressed the need for innovation and adaptability in the field of education. Felicitations were offered by Sajeevan, Vice President, PTA, and Sindhu K, Staff Secretary, who encouraged the new batch to uphold values and strive for excellence. The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Shafeek P.


The afternoon session began at 1.30 p.m. with the Induction Programme Inauguration. In her inaugural address, Dr. Beena K spoke on the theme “Empowering Educators: A New Beginning.” She motivated the student-teachers to embrace creativity, inclusivity, and responsibility in their teaching journey.

The day’s events marked a meaningful beginning for the 2025 batch, inspiring the students to embark on their academic journey with confidence, vision, and commitment to the teaching profession.

RMCTE Celebrates Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour

Kavumpadi: RMCTE B.Ed College marked the nation’s 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and unity. The celebrations commenced with the ceremonial flag hoisting by the Principal, Dr. K. Beena, which was followed by the Presidential Address in which she highlighted the significance of freedom, the sacrifices of national heroes, and the role of teachers in building a progressive nation.


The programme began with a soulful prayer by Sreya Sreekumar M, setting a reverent tone for the occasion. Pavithra T. R. extended a warm welcome address, greeting the dignitaries, faculty, students, and guests.

The gathering was further enriched by felicitations from Dr. Shafeek P. and Ambili O. S., both of whom praised the college community for its dedication to education and cultural values.

Students from various departments presented a variety of patriotic programmes including songs, speeches, skits, and quizzes, each reflecting the spirit of India’s rich heritage and aspirations for the future.

The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Ashwin K., who expressed gratitude to everyone involved in making the celebration a success. The entire audience then stood in unity for the National Anthem, marking a dignified close to the day’s proceedings.

The celebration not only honored the country’s glorious past but also inspired all present to work towards a brighter and stronger India.
